Pagosa Springs, CO 6/25/2011
We had a chance to retreat to southern colorado with some friends this past weekend. I knew on the first night that the stars had to be photographed because I had never seen them so bright and abundant. This is about a 17 minute exposure- which is a crazy reminder as to how much movement is actually going on. I was super thankful to have such a perfectly still night with hardly any wind movement at all and absolutely zero light from any city. The blacks in the trees were barely touched except for a tad bit of contrast.
This image is a nice retreat- reminds me of the 50 degree temps and allows me to briefly escape this insane texas heat!
A few of my photos have been featured on the Dallas Futsal website. Esteban and Manuel Mariel are currently developing the premier futsal league here in Dallas. If you are like me, I had no idea what futsal was but it’s certainly worth checking out. It’s a pretty cool little variation of soccer. I had a blast working with these guys—so driven and focused on what they are doing because they love it. I have great appreciation for that and can very much relate.
